In the last article, we talked about how advertising has evolved since the beginning of the centuries. Today’s topic is the development of advertising in the 20-21 centuries, during the advent of radio and television.
Advertising on the radio
The first radio commercial came out in the 20s of the last century to an audience of about 1000 radio receivers in Pittsburgh (USA). By the age of 30, the number of radio stations and radio advertising had increased, and it was not recorded in advance, but simply pronounced by the announcers live. The radio advertising boom came in 1940, at that time, most families in the United States had a radio receiver.

Television advertising
The first TVs suitable for use by the masses appeared in the 30-ies of the last century. And the video process was opened in 1956, after that, television advertising replaced all its advantages of radio advertising. Someone says that the first television advertising was the advertising of the soup Procter & Gamble, but today only the recording of watch advertising, which was shown in the United States in 1941 during the broadcast of the basketball match.
